Our Private Health Screening is a set of tailored tests and examinations that give you an overview of your current health.

We offer a range of Health screenings, from a simple introductory check, designed to help you “Know Your Numbers” to a complete, in-depth look into anything and everything.

Health Check

This is a 30 minute appointment which includes a consultation with a GP and a follow up report.

  • Full medical history
  • Assessment of your family history and any increased health risks
  • Physical examination covering nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, abdominal and genitourinary examination as necessary
  • Know your numbers/Your vital statistics – Blood pressure, height, weight, Body Mass Index, body fat percentage, hip to waist ratio
  • Urine analysis for kidney health and infection
  • Cholesterol and lipids blood test
  • Diabetes screening blood test (HBA1C)
  • Follow up health assessment doctors written report

Fee £195

This is a one hour appointment with a GP who will tailor the health check to your specific needs and concerns.

  • A full medical history
  • Assessment of your family history and any increased health risks
  • Assessment of your stress levels and any interventions needed
  • A full examination is offered including heart, lungs, abdominal and neurological examination.
  • Your vital statistics are recorded with BP, Pulse rate, body mass index, body fat and hip to waist ratio.
  • If you have any concerns about testicular cancer or changes then this can be covered
  • Urine dipstick test checking for standard urine infection and assess for kidney damage
  • Blood tests are included in the price
    • Full blood count to assess for anaemia
    • Kidney blood test
    • Liver test
    • Bone profile including calcium and alk phosphate levels
    • Vitamin D
    • ESR to assess inflammation
    • Iron status and Ferritin stores
    • Thyroid profile (TSH and T4)
    • Full lipid profile (HLD, LDL, non HDL, Triglycerides)
    • Diabetes Screen with an Hba1c which shows your average blood sugar levels over an 8-12 week period which is the new screening method for pre-diabetes.
    • Blood glucose level
    • Cardiac profile with LDH and CK

Breast Cancer Screening: During your health screening the doctor will offer to go through how to do self breast checks and offer to do a breast examination to ensure you feel confident and have the skills to do your own regular self breast checks to detect changes which might indicate breast cancer. For women over 40, there will be a discussion should you wish to have screening imaging such as a mammogram for an additional fee.

Cervical Cancer Screening is included in the price all women over the age of 21 will be offered a cervical screening smear test during the appointment which includes a gynaecology examination.

Cardiac Screening for women over 40 will receive a personalised cardiac risk score called a Qrisk3

  • You receive a personalised health screening report addressing your specific concerns, findings, blood test results and recommendations.
  • Your report will include a healthy lifestyle and dietary advice sheet.

Any referral letters can be generated at the time of the appointment.

Fee £440

Ovarian Cancer Screening for women over 50 is included if clinically needed with an additional blood test

Bowel Cancer Screening test for women over 50 is included in the price with a QFIT test which is the most up to date method of checking for blood in the stool.
