Eczema: is a chronic skin condition that causes itchiness, redness and swollen or dry cracked skin. Eczema can occur at any age, but it typically begins in childhood and can change in severity over time. You should not scratch the affected areas (we know this can be extremely difficult) as this can make the symptoms worse and increase the risk of skin infections.
